The National Affiliation
Through their membership in the association, Georgia opticians and contact lens technicians have access to the far-reaching resources of the Opticians Association of America. The OAA, whose principal responsibility is to lobby Congress and federal agencies, provides state associations with legal opinions, analyses of legislation, credentialing and career information, marketing research, and a wide variety of research studies and publications. Association members receive a free subscription to the OAA's newsletter.
